plottools[point] - generate 2-D or 3-D plot object for a point
Calling Sequence
point(p, opts)
point(m, opts)
point(v1, v2, opts)
point(v1, v2, v3, opts)
Parameters
p
-
list containing a single point
m
Matrix or list of lists containing one or more points
v1, v2, v3
Vectors or lists containing x-, y- and z-coordinates of points
opts
optional equations as described in the Options section
Description
The point command creates a plot data object, which when displayed is a point or collection of points.
For a d-dimensional plot, where d is 2 or 3, p must contain d elements. Similarly, m must be an n by d Matrix or a list with n sublists of length d, where n is the total number of points. If Vectors are provided, then the third calling sequence, with parameters v1 and v2, is used for a 2-D plot. The fourth calling sequence, with the additional Vector v3, is used for a 3-D plot. for
The plot data object produced by the point command can be displayed using the plots[display] command.
Remaining arguments are interpreted as options, which are specified as equations of the form option = value. For more information, see plottools, plot/options and plot3d/options.
Options
color : color of points or list of colors
legend : legend entry associated with points
symbol : symbol used for display of points
symbolsize : size of symbol representing a point
