geometry[point] - define a point
Calling Sequence
point(P, Px, Py)
point(P, [Px, Py])
Parameters
P
-
the name of the point
Px
the horizontal coordinate
Py
the vertical coordinate
Description
A point is represented as a dot. It has position only, and has no length, width, or thickness.
A point P is represented by its horizontal coordinate Px and vertical coordinate Py.
To access the information relating to a point P, use the following function calls:
form(P)
returns the form of the geometric
object (i.e., point2d if P is a point).
coordinates(P)
returns [Px,Py] where Px is the horizontal
horizontal coordinate and Py the
vertical coordinate of P.
HorizontalCoord(P)
returns Px which is the horizontal
coordinate of P.
VerticalCoord(P)
returns Py which is the vertical
detail(P)
returns a detailed expression of the
point P.
The command with(geometry, point) allows the use of the abbreviated form of this command.
