Maple T.A. 10 Hotfixes From time to time, Maplesoft issues corrections and enhancements to Maple T.A. in the form of downloadable hotfixes which can be applied to your existing Maple T.A. installation. A hotfix is a zip file (for Windows) or compressed tar file (for Linux and Mac) containing a readme, a script and a small number of replacement files. For convenience, multiple hotfixes are sometimes distributed together in a service pack. To Receive Hotfix Notifications: Join the Maple T.A. Product Hotfix mailing list to be notified whenever we post new hotfixes for Maple T.A.  You can unsubscribe at any time. Installation To install the hotfixes, follow the instructions in the appropriate readme file. A copy of these instructions is also included in the download.  Windows | Linux and Mac Important Notes Hotfixes and services packs must be installed sequentially. For example, you must first install Hotfix 001 through Hotfix 005 before installing Service Pack 001-SP. Fixes must be installed with "/force" option. Tomcat restart is required. When installing multiple fixes, stop Tomcat, apply all hotfixes and service packs in order, and then restart Tomcat. Hotfix Description Download 1000-001 Security update to prevent unauthorized changes to user roles. Windows Linux and Mac 1000-002 Corrections to using a Sketch Question as a part of a Multipart Question (Chrome and Internet Explorer) Corrections for adaptive assignments Fix for type handling (integer/float) Improved handling of communication between nodes in server clusters Note:  To apply this fix, YOU MUST RUN AN SQL SCRIPT, "1000-002.sql". The script file is located in the "files/sql" sub-directory of the hotfix directory. The script should be applied manually against "mapleta" database. To run the script, follow these instructions. Windows Linux and Mac 1000-003 Corrected problem with adding new users from LDAP Windows Linux and Mac 1000-004 Support for international keyboards in the Equation Editor Windows Linux and Mac 1000-005 Fixes for Tomcat 7.0.57 compatibility, email, and LDAP user management issues Windows Linux and Mac 1000-001-SP This service pack includes many improvements, including: Improvements to text editing Support for Safari 8 on Mac OS X Roster import security fix SSL Support for the Maple T.A. Cloud A full list of changes is available in the hotfix.def file, included in the download. Note:  To apply this service pack, YOU MUST RUN TWO SQL SCRIPTS. The script files are located in the "files/sql" sub-directory of the hotfix directory. Each script should be applied manually against "mapleta" database. Instructions can be found in the hotfix.def file. If you moved directly from Maple T.A. 8 to Maple T.A. 10, an additional installation step is required for this service pack. See the instructions in the hotfix.def file. Windows Linux and Mac 1000-002-SP This service pack includes many improvements, including: Improvements to Math App questions Process improvements when dropping classes Better handling of LDAP authentication in a clustered environment Adaptive assignment grades now pushed properly to external systems such as Blackboard and Moodle Improved system performance for assignments "Request exception" button now available for restricted assignments Prevents students from entering algorithmic variables in answer fields Expanded localization support A full list of changes is available in the hotfix.def file, included in the download. Note:  To apply this service pack, YOU MUST RUN AN SQL SCRIPT, "1000-002-SP.sql". The script files are located in the "files/sql" sub-directory of the hotfix directory. Windows Linux and Mac 1000-003-SP This service pack provides: LTI support for integration with: Canvas Blackboard Learn Brightspace Moodle Sakai Fix for problems displaying algorithmically generated plots in questions Better viewing of student responses for the Maple Formula question Note:  To apply this service pack, YOU MUST RUN AN SQL SCRIPT, "1000-003-SP.sql". The script files are located in the "files/sql" sub-directory of the hotfix directory. The script should be applied manually against "mapleta" database. Instructions can be found in the hotfix.def file. Windows Linux and Mac 1000-004-SP This service pack provides enhancements to LTI connectivity, including an option to disable new user creation when connecting to course management systems through LTI. Note:  To apply this service pack, YOU MUST RUN AN SQL SCRIPT, "1000-004-SP.sq". The script files are located in the "files/sql" sub-directory of the hotfix directory. The script should be applied manually against "mapleta" database. Instructions can be found in the hotfix.def file.
