Converting a Version Controlled Model to a Standard Model

You can convert a version controlled MapleSim model from the .base_msim file format to the standard .msim file. This generates a single file that contains all of the components and attachments required to simulate your model. This is useful if you want to share your model with others.

Note: You can also convert a version controlled model to a version controlled library. See Creating a Version Controlled Library for details.

To convert a version controlled model to a standard model:

1.

Open the .base_msim file for the version controlled model.

2.

From the File menu, select Save As... .

3.

Browse to the directory you want to save the model in.

4.

Enter the model name in the File name field.

5.

Select MapleSim Model (*.msim) from the Files of type list.
