Solution of the Schroedinger equation by the Numerov-method for any given one-dimensional eigenvalue problem is shown here. The central idea is to fix the eigenvalue and solve the differential equation. If the resulting function is not an eigenfunction, the deviation serves as a guide how to change the eigenvalue. Here follows an abstract of the theory.
