In this article we shall demonstrate how to use Maple to study the kinematics of an agricultural machine, in particular a dung scraper. The propelled end of the supporting bar is connected to the chain running around two teeth wheels and moves ahead with constant velocity. The lead end follows the guiding bars. Srapers are fixed to the supporting bar. We have to study the trajectory, velocity and acceleration of the business ends of scrapers. Results will be plotted and animated.
