## 5.16 True/False Questions

### Description

True/false questions are treated as a class of multiple choice question. They only feature two choices: true and false.

Students must select the correct answer to get full credit. No partial marks are allotted.

### Instructions

To create a True/False question:

1. From the Class Homepage, click Content Repository in the top menu.
1. From the Create New drop-down menu, select Question/Text.

1. The Question Designer screen appears:
• Enter a title for the question under the Question Name panel.
• Enter the question in the Question Text.

1. Click Response Area ().
1. The Edit Response Area screen appears:
1. Under Choose Question Type, select True/False.
1. Weighting: specify the weight of this response area in the overall question. (By default, the Weighting is set to 1).
1. For Correct Answer, use the radio buttons to select True or False.
1. Click OK.

1. (Optional) To add an Algorithm or Feedback to the question, see Adding and Editing Algorithms and Adding and Editing Feedback for more details.
1. Click Save & Close to save the question.

### Example: Creating a True/False Question

1. From the Class Homepage, click the Content Repository.
1. From the Create New drop-down menu, select Question/Text.
1. The Question Designer screen appears:
• Enter the following for Question Name: Integral True/False 1
• Enter the following for Question Text: When integrating a sum of two or more functions, the integral of the sum is equal to the sum of the respective integrals (provided they exist).
1. Click Response Area ().
1. The Edit Response Area screen appears:
1. Under Choose Question Type, select True/False.
1. Weighting: specify the weight of this response area in the overall question. (By default, the Weighting is set to 1).
1. For Correct Answer, select True.
1. Click OK.
1. Then, click Save.
1. Click Preview to view the question, as shown below.
