check for a radical function extension

Parameters

 expr - expression

Description

 • The type(expr, radfunext) calling sequence checks to see if expr is a radical function extension.
 • A radical function extension is an algebraic function extension specified in terms of radicals. This is a root of a combination of rational functions and roots of rational functions specified in terms of radicals.

Examples

 > $\mathrm{type}\left({\left(x+y\right)}^{\frac{1}{2}},\mathrm{radfunext}\right)$
 ${\mathrm{true}}$ (1)
 > $\mathrm{type}\left({\left(\mathrm{sqrt}\left(z\right)-\frac{3}{2}x+y\right)}^{\frac{4}{3}},\mathrm{radfunext}\right)$
 ${\mathrm{true}}$ (2)
 > $\mathrm{type}\left({\left(4x-{5}^{\frac{1}{3}}{y}^{2}\right)}^{\frac{1}{4}},\mathrm{radfunext}\right)$
 ${\mathrm{true}}$ (3)
 > $\mathrm{type}\left({x}^{\frac{1}{4}},\mathrm{radfunext}\right)$
