compute the sum of samples in an array
Array of real numeric values; the signal
The Sum(A) command returns the sum of the values in the array A.
Before the code performing the computation runs, A is converted to datatype float if it does not have that datatype already. For this reason, it is most efficient if A has this datatype beforehand.
The SignalProcessing[Sum] command is thread-safe as of Maple 17.
For more information on thread safety, see index/threadsafe.
with( SignalProcessing ):
a := Array( [ 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ], 'datatype' = 'float'[ 8 ] );
Sum( a );
The SignalProcessing[Sum] command was introduced in Maple 17.
For more information on Maple 17 changes, see Updates in Maple 17.
