SignalProcessing

 GenerateJaehne
 generate a Jaehne array

 Calling Sequence GenerateJaehne(n, mag)

Parameters

n - posint, number of samples mag - realcons, magnitude of the signal to be generated

Options

 • container : Array, predefined Array for holding results

Description

 • The GenerateJaehne(n, mag) command generates an n-dimensional Jaehne array. The result is returned in an Array with datatype float.
 • The Jaehne array of length $n$ is defined by computing the $k$-th sample as $m\mathrm{sin}\left(\frac{\mathrm{\pi }{k}^{2}}{2n}\right)$, where $m$ is the magnitude of the signal.
 • If the container=C option is provided, then the results are put into C and C is returned. With this option, no additional memory is allocated to store the result. The container must be an Array of size n having datatype float.

 • The SignalProcessing[GenerateJaehne] command is thread-safe as of Maple 17.
