Multiple Plots

 Calling Sequence plot({f1, f2,...}, h, v, options) plot([f1, f2,...], h, v, options) plot3d([f1, f2,...], h, v, options) plot3d({f1, f2,...}, h, v, options)

Parameters

f1, f2, ... - functions to be plotted h - horizontal range v - vertical range, optional for plot options - any of the optional arguments specified in plot/options

Description

 • When plot or plot3d is passed a set or list of functions, it plots all of these functions on the same graph.
 • When a list of three functions is passed to plot3d, Maple displays a 3-D parametric plot.  For more information, see plot3d.  To avoid this, add the three functions as a set.
 • When a list of functions is plotted, options may be associated with each function.  Options are specified as option=[value1, value2, ..., valuen] with one value for each curve plotted.
 • Unless otherwise specified, the curves are colored using the current list of plotting colors (see plots[setcolors]).

Examples

 > $\mathrm{plot}\left(\left[x-\frac{{x}^{3}}{3},\mathrm{sin}\left(x\right)\right],x=0..1,\mathrm{linestyle}=\left[\mathrm{dot},\mathrm{dash}\right]\right)$
 > $\mathrm{plot}\left(\left\{\mathrm{exp},\mathrm{ln}\right\},-\mathrm{\infty }..\mathrm{\infty },\mathrm{color}=\left["DarkGreen","CornflowerBlue"\right]\right)$
 > $\mathrm{plot}\left(\left\{x,\left[{t}^{2},t,t=-1..1\right]\right\},x=0..1\right)$
 > $\mathrm{plot3d}\left(\left[\mathrm{cos}\left(x\right)-2\mathrm{cos}\left(0.4y\right),\mathrm{sin}\left(xy\right)\right],x=-10..10,y=-1..1,\mathrm{style}=\left[\mathrm{PATCH},\mathrm{PATCHNOGRID}\right],\mathrm{shading}=\left[\mathrm{DEFAULT},\mathrm{ZGRAYSCALE}\right],\mathrm{lightmodel}=\mathrm{light1}\right)$
