 SensedMagnitude
find the sensed magnitude between two points

 Calling Sequence SensedMagnitude(A, B)

Parameters

 A, B - two points

Description

 • The routine computes the SensedMagnitude between two points A and B.
 • The sign of the sensed magnitude is determined by the relative position of the points.

Horizontal Coordinate Vertical Coordinate Sign of Sensed Magnitude A is to the left of B N/A positive B is to the left of A N/A negative Horizontal coordinates are the same A is below B positive Horizontal coordinates are the same B is below A negative

 • The command with(geometry,SensedMagnitude) allows the use of the abbreviated form of this command.

Examples

 > $\mathrm{with}\left(\mathrm{geometry}\right):$
 > $\mathrm{point}\left(A,1,0\right),\mathrm{point}\left(B,2,2\right):$
 > $\mathrm{SensedMagnitude}\left(A,B\right)$
 $\sqrt{{5}}$ (1)
 > $\mathrm{SensedMagnitude}\left(B,A\right)$
 ${-}\sqrt{{5}}$ (2)
 > $\mathrm{point}\left(A,1,0\right),\mathrm{point}\left(B,3,0\right):$
 > $\mathrm{SensedMagnitude}\left(A,B\right)$
 $\sqrt{{4}}$ (3)
 > $\mathrm{SensedMagnitude}\left(B,A\right)$
 ${-}\sqrt{{4}}$ (4)
