Student[Calculus1]

 Clear
 clear the Calculus1 problems table

 Calling Sequence Clear(n) Clear(all)

Parameters

n - positive integer; specify problem number

Description

 • The Calculus1 package maintains an internal table of problems stepped through (see Rule) in the current session.
 • The Clear(n) command clears problem #n from the problems table.
 • The Clear(all) command clears all problems from the problems table and resets the two GetNumProblems return values to 0 (zero).
 • This internal Calculus1 problems table is not directly accessible.
To display the current state of any problem in the table, use the Show, ShowSteps, and ShowIncomplete commands.
To change the current problem, use the GetProblem command.
To obtain the number of problems currently in the table, use the GetNumProblems command.
To obtain the number of the current problem, use the WhatProblem command.

Examples

 > $\mathrm{with}\left(\mathrm{Student}\left[\mathrm{Calculus1}\right]\right):$

 > $\mathrm{Diff}\left({x}^{2}+x,x\right)$
 $\frac{{ⅆ}}{{ⅆ}{x}}\phantom{\rule[-0.0ex]{0.4em}{0.0ex}}\left({{x}}^{{2}}{+}{x}\right)$ (1)
 > $\mathrm{Rule}\left[\mathrm{+}\right]\left(\right)$
 Creating problem #1
 $\frac{{ⅆ}}{{ⅆ}{x}}\phantom{\rule[-0.0ex]{0.4em}{0.0ex}}\left({{x}}^{{2}}{+}{x}\right){=}\frac{{ⅆ}}{{ⅆ}{x}}\phantom{\rule[-0.0ex]{0.4em}{0.0ex}}\left({{x}}^{{2}}\right){+}\frac{{ⅆ}}{{ⅆ}{x}}\phantom{\rule[-0.0ex]{0.4em}{0.0ex}}{x}$ (2)
 > $\mathrm{Show}\left(1\right)$

 > $\mathrm{Clear}\left(1\right)$
 Problem #1 has been cleared

If you try to access a cleared problem, Maple returns an error.

 > $\mathrm{Show}\left(1\right)$
 > $\mathrm{Rule}\left[\mathrm{/}\right]\left(\mathrm{Limit}\left(\frac{\mathrm{sin}\left(x\right)}{\mathrm{exp}\left(x\right)},x=a\right)\right)$
 Creating problem #2
 $\underset{{x}{\to }{a}}{{lim}}{}\frac{{\mathrm{sin}}{}\left({x}\right)}{{{ⅇ}}^{{x}}}{=}\frac{\underset{{x}{\to }{a}}{{lim}}{}{\mathrm{sin}}{}\left({x}\right)}{\underset{{x}{\to }{a}}{{lim}}{}{{ⅇ}}^{{x}}}$ (4)
 > $\mathrm{GetNumProblems}\left(\right)$
 ${1}{,}{2}$ (5)
 > $\mathrm{Show}\left(\mathrm{all}\right)$
 Problem 2:
 $\underset{{x}{\to }{a}}{{lim}}{}\frac{{\mathrm{sin}}{}\left({x}\right)}{{{ⅇ}}^{{x}}}{=}\frac{\underset{{x}{\to }{a}}{{lim}}{}{\mathrm{sin}}{}\left({x}\right)}{\underset{{x}{\to }{a}}{{lim}}{}{{ⅇ}}^{{x}}}$ (6)
 > $\mathrm{Clear}\left(\mathrm{all}\right)$

The problems table is cleared.

 > $\mathrm{GetNumProblems}\left(\right)$
 ${0}{,}{0}$ (7)
