 Select a Math Style?

This help page demonstrates how to enter inputs in Maple worksheet using 1-D math notation, standard math notation, palette templates, and command completion method.

Basic Computation

 1-D Math Notation
 1 Multiplication:
 > x * x
 ${{x}}^{{2}}$ (1.1)
 > x . x
 ${{x}}^{{2}}$ (1.2)

In 1-D Math Notation (1-D mode) the following input reads as "2 is a function of x", hence the result:

 > 2(x)
 ${2}$ (1.3)
