Applying Paragraph Styles

A paragraph style controls all aspects of a paragraph's appearance, such as text alignment, line spacing, and indentation.

You can apply paragraph styles to selected text:

•

In the the Edit tab of the ribbon, use the Style drop-down list to apply existing paragraph styles.

•

If desired, use the Styles dialog to create new paragraph styles or modify existing ones, which can then be applied using the Style drop-down list. See Create Paragraph Styles.

Tip: For simple modifications such as changing the indentation or spacing for one paragraph, use Paragraph Attributes ( ).  For details on the paragraph attributes, see the Formatting Lists help page.

To apply a Maple paragraph style to text in your worksheet:

1.

Select (by highlighting) the text to modify.

2.

In the Edit tab of the ribbon, from the Style drop-down list, select an appropriate paragraph style. All Maple paragraph styles are preceded by the letter P. The selected text now reflects the attributes of the paragraph style you have chosen.

3.

(Optional) To remove the applied style, use Undo.
