Single-phase Resistors
A resistor converts electrical power to heat. The voltage across and the current through a resistor ( and , respectively) are related by the equation, , where is the resistance. A conductor with conductance is equivalent to a resistor with resistance .
Conductor - ideal linear electrical conductor
Potentiometer - adjustable resistor with tap
Resistor - ideal linear electrical resistor
Variable Conductor - ideal linear electrical conductor with variable conductance
