geom3d

 sides
compute the sides of a given triangle, a regular polyhedron, or an Archimedean solid

 Calling Sequence sides(g)

Parameters

g - triangle, polyhedron, or archimedean solid

Description

 • The routine computes the sides of triangle g, the side of a regular polyhedron, or of an archimedean solid.
 • In case g is a triangle, the output is a list of three element denoting the three sides of g.
 • The command with(geom3d,sides) allows the use of the abbreviated form of this command.

Examples

 > $\mathrm{with}\left(\mathrm{geom3d}\right):$

Define a dodecahedron with center (0,0,0), radius of the circum-sphere 1

 > $\mathrm{dodecahedron}\left(d,\mathrm{point}\left(o,0,0,0\right),1\right)$
 ${d}$ (1)
 > $\mathrm{sides}\left(d\right)$
 $\frac{{2}{}\sqrt{{3}}}{{3}{}\left(\frac{{1}}{{2}}{+}\frac{\sqrt{{5}}}{{2}}\right)}$ (2)
