BlockBuilder™ for Simulink® -
New Physical Modeling and Simulink Block-Generation from
Maplesoft™ -
BlockBuilder helps engineers to develop ideas from initial
concepts to high-fidelity physical models, and automatically
generate Simulink S-Function blocks to enhance and extend
their Simulink models.
With BlockBuilder you can:
- Rapidly create physical models
from mathematical first principles
- Convert mathematical
models directly into Simulink blocks
- Fully encapsulate
analysis, manipulations, transformations, code generation,
verification and documentation

BlockBuilder Environment Enhances Simulink
Written by Tony Lockwood
“ The really cool thing here is that BlockBuilder
uses a freeform workspace. So, you doodle out your ideas
on some physical
design and leverage some algorithms from Maple for your
analyses. The really, really cool thing is that all the
while you're
doing this, you are building a Simulink-ready S-Function
block. Further, since this block you created in BlockBuilder
encapsulates your Maple mathematical analysis, it enhances
and extends the resultant Simulink design while saving
time and reducing errors.”
“…
think of BlockBuilder as your project notebook with lots
of smarts, on steroids, dynamic, and broken free of tactile
limitations. …I feel that it will do for initial
development what word processing did for the typewriter."

MaplePrimes,
the online community of Maple users is
continuously changing the way that you
work with Maple. Last month, a new feature
was released on the site, the MaplePrimes
file manager. This feature makes it
easy for you to share mathematics with
people
worldwide. You can now upload your Maple
documents to a MapleNet server
for free. This allows you to share your
interactive
Maple documents with people worldwide,
even to people who do not have a copy of
Maple; all they need is a web browser.
